What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a compound that is naturally occurring within hemp and marijuana plants. This non-psychoactive compound features considerable medicinal advantages that can benefit people of all ages and backgrounds. CBD offers a natural, holistic approach that doesn’t counteract with other over-the-counter or pharmaceutical medications. With no known negative side effects, research continues to find more benefits tied to CBD.

How does CBD work?

The endocannabinoid system is a biochemical communicative system that is found in the human body– this neurological system is responsible for both regulating and stimulating our physiology, appetite, mood, memory, pain sensation, and our everyday experience. The network of neurons runs throughout the human body and is incorporated in every major system. There are actually naturally occurring CBD compounds found within our bodies which have inherently created a hard-wired connection between our biology and CBD, enabling all these capabilities positively interacting with our mood inflammation.

Does taking CBD affect drug testing?

Drug tests are designed to identify THC, not CBD. Our products contain hemp-derived CBD. Our full spectrum products contain less than 0.3% THC. Our products are safe and legal across all 50 states.

Will CBD get me high?

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound and will not get you high. Unlike THC, CBD has no mind-altering effects.

What is a CBD tincture and where does tincture come from?

CBD tinctures are a form of CBD oil designed as a food or drink additive. Designed for oral consumption, they come in a dropper bottle in order to administer small amounts of this concentrate. Our tinctures contain hemp-derived CBD oil, coconut MCT oil, and peppermint or cinnamon oils. We’re proud to offer tinctures that are free of glycerin and ethanol, unlike many other tinctures available on the market. Each tincture product features a different milligram amount of CBD allowing consumers to choose the right strength for them.

What is the best way to take CBD?

CBD can be taken in a wide variety of applications from edibles to tinctures, vaporizers, dab rigs, and topical creams. CBD isolate can be integrated into any of these forms with no taste or smell. The best way to take CBD is ultimately up to you and your personal preference.

  • Orally: Tinctures and isolates can be taken directly under your tongue for maximum, immediate absorption. These can be added to any food or drink as well– we do recommend not cooking tinctures over direct heat in order to not compromise taste and compound structure.
  • Topically:  Offers direct absorption to the affected area. Our CBD isolate can be melted into your favorite cream or oil– let the mixture steep at 200+℉ for several hours until completely dissolved. Don’t allow the mixture to exceed 320℉ in order to avoid jeopardizing CBD potency.
  • Vaporizing: CBD isolate can be dabbed or flash vaporized with corresponding equipment. Vaporizing CBD offers the quickest absorption by immediately entering your bloodstream and bypassing the digestive tract and liver.

How much CBD is right for me?

CBD dosage has a variety of variables including medical condition, sensitivity, body chemistry, and weight. A good starting point is 25mg a day, decreasing or increasing dosage based on personal experience. The FDA has not released a recommended daily intake– we suggest conducting your own research or speaking to a medical professional for further guidance.

How do I measure a serving of isolate? How about tincture?

The two easiest ways to measure CBD isolate are by using a 10mg scoop or with a food scale that measures weights in milligrams.

Tincture measurements per dropper are as listed:

  • 10mg/dropper in a 300mg bottle
  • 16.67mg/dropper in a 500mg bottle
  • 33.33mg/dropper in a 1000mg bottle
  • 50mg/dropper in a 1500mg bottle
  • 66.6mg/dropper in a 2000mg bottle

What’s the difference between hemp and marijuana? Is there a difference between hemp-derived CBD and marijuana-derived CBD?

While hemp and marijuana are both a part of the cannabis family, hemp is completely different in function, cultivation, and application. Hemp has extremely low levels of THC, less than 0.3%, unlike marijuana.

Hemp-derived CBD has been a popular choice among patients of all ages and backgrounds due to its inherently low levels of THC and legal availability among all 50 states. Studies have shown that marijuana-derived CBD featuring moderate THC levels does have significant medical applications for specific health conditions. Hemp-derived CBD is a compelling alternative treatment since the CBD found in both plants contain the same chemical composition. The difference lies in the cannabinoid combination, psychotropic effects, and legal status. We recommend conducting further research on your personal health condition to make the best choice for you.

How old do you have to be to take CBD?

There is no age minimum or limit to take CBD. CBD has no mind-altering effects offering a great option for people of any age or background. We always recommend conducting further research regarding proper CBD dosage based on weight, health condition, etc. CBD is actually naturally occurring in breast milk which is significant for proper human development.

Can I overdose on CBD?

No, you cannot overdose on CBD. Recent studies have even shown that CBD is safe in high doses. No known fatal overdoses have ever been reported.

When does CBD expire?

Properly stored CBD tinctures have a shelf life of one year. We recommend storing your CBD tincture in a cool, dark, and dry place. Keeping your tincture in the refrigerator is recommended but not required– storing your tincture in the freezer is not recommended since this may jeopardize the other oils present.

Isolate has a similar one-year shelf life and is recommended to be stored in refrigerators, freezers, and any dark, cool space.

What does full spectrum mean?

Full spectrum refers to a product having a full cannabinoid profile that features numerous various cannabinoids for comprehensive medicinal benefits. We offer full spectrum CBD tinctures.

Is CBD legal?

Hemp-derived CBD is legal in all 50 states. Marijuana-derived CBD is only legal in certain states– we recommend conducting further research about your state’s marijuana laws to definitively know the stance. Our products are all hemp-derived, making them legal across all 50 states.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are naturally occurring compounds responsible for the aroma and flavor of plants and fruit. Terpenes are often added to CBD products to create the Entourage Effect and add a flavor profile and enjoyment for personal consumption.

What is the Entourage Effect?

CBD in conjunction with other cannabinoids and terpenes has more therapeutic benefits than CBD alone. This is called the Entourage Effect. These compounds work harmoniously together to improve the medicinal benefits and the absorption of CBD.

Can my pets take CBD?

Yes, research has shown that dogs and cats have a similar endocannabinoid system to humans that respond directly to CBD. We always recommend giving your pets a pet-engineered tincture that’s been designed with proper dosage. Dosage for animals differs due to weight and health conditions just like people. Conducting your own research to find the right dosage for your pets is always crucial.
